The Rajasthan government is all set to buy a new state chopper for the use of chief minister Vasundhara Raje. The directorate of civil aviation will soon consult with the finance department for the expenses.
After the existing state chopper has been grounded and unfruitful attempts were made to auction it, the government is keen to have a new one at the earliest. A meeting was called on Monday to discuss the possibilities.
"We need a new helicopter and there is broad consensus on it. As of now, the state has to render services of private players as and when required," said senior official. He maintained that a proposal will be finalized with finance department taken on board.
