Tourists coming to the City of Destiny on short trips will soon be able to visit Araku in 15 minutes flat and take back memories, which will last a lifetime! Sounds interesting?
Hiring a chopper is no longer the privilege of a select few and the ordinary tourist will soon be able to do so. Sky Choppers Logistics Private Limited, which is already operating helicopters at the popular pilgrimage centres of Vaishno Devi, Kedarnath and Amarnath, will soon operate helicopter and seaplane services to promote tourism in the State.
Araku, the popular hill station, located about 110 km from the city, draws thousands of tourists from different parts of the country every year. The peak season starts around Dasara (October) and continues till January-end and again tourists visit in large numbers during the summer holidays.
The holiday crowd can also hire a chopper to get a bird’s eye view of the city besides visiting Kailasagiri after taking off from VUDA Park. They can even ride a seaplane from Vizag to Bheemunipatnam and from Amaravati to Kakinada.
