The city police have registered an FIR against Binoy Jacob, the vice president of Air India SATS Limited, a subsidiary of Air India that deals with ground handling works, and few others of the company for allegedly forging sexual harassment allegations against an employee of Air India.
The case was registered on the basis of the complaint filed by L S Sibu, a staff of Air India. The Crime Branch, on Wednesday, had given clean chit to Sibu before the state high court in a sexual harassment case that was levelled against him by 17 women. The Crime branch probe found out that 16 out of 17 signatures in the complaint were forged. The probe also revealed that Sibu was framed in such a case as a form of retaliation for exposing several corruption in AISATS and filing complaints before CBI and Central Intelligence in that regard.
It turned out that it was a group of employees of AISATS in a bid to tarnish his reputation, humiliate him and thereby achieve the greater aim of ousting him from the company. The Crime Branch has also recommended the state police chief to register a case against these employees for forging the false complaint.
