Panaji: Goa International Airport Dabolim has emerged as the fourth best international airport by regions and size in the Asia Pacific Region in the 2-5 million passenger category. The survey, conducted by the Airports Council International also placed the Airports Authority of India as the best service provider in the world in the same category.
"AAI's persistent efforts to improve the services and passenger facilities at its airports has finally helped us and today AAI's four airports are amongst the top five airports in the category of 2 to 5 million passengers per annum across the world," AAI said in an official press note released by the public relations department.
The rankings are based on the results of the survey carried out by the Airports Council International, a global non-profit organization of international airport operators on Airport Service Quality. Airports Authority of India's Jaipur airport has been declared as the world's best airport in the category of 2 to 5 million passengers per annum ahead of Lucknow airport which has been rated as world's second best airport in the same category.
