Chennai: Tension prevailed at the Chennai airport after an altercation between a senior official and a contract worker.
According to sources, the officer assaulted the worker following which a heated argument broke out between contract workers and airport officials.
Praveen Kumar, the contract worker, had not carried out the instruction given to him by the airport authorities.
When the official questioned him, it led to an argument. The official lost his temper and assaulted Praveen, injuring him.
