Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasised the need for improving airport infrastructure to achieve the goal of making Andhra Pradesh a transit hub.
Taking stock of the progress of the new terminal at Gannavaram Airport, which is under construction, here on Wednesday, he said unless, there is more improved airport infrastructure in the state, achieving desired results in development of the state was not possible.
He made it clear to the officials concerned that he will not entertain any delay in the construction of the new terminal of Gannavaram Airport, which will be the main link to national and international cities with the new capital Amaravati. He reminded that they had completed Pattiseema project in 14 months, were going to compete construction of temporary secretariat in 4 months, he wanted the terminal completed before the set deadline, which is before commencement of Krishna Pushkarams.
