Jodhpur: Preparations for the expansion and development of the Jodhpur Civil Avrport have picked up after an MoU was signed among the air force, airport authority, state government and the Jodhpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) last week for the land transfers.
Regional executive director of the Airport Authority of India, Rakesh Kumar Kalra, reached Jodhpur on Thursday in order to explore and discuss the modalities for the expansion and development of the Jodhpur Civil Airport.
While talking to media, Kalra welcomed the signing of the MoU and said that this would pave way for the development of the city as more airlines would be coming here.
"We are desperate for the expansion of this airport as Jodhpur has an important role in country's aviation circuit," he said adding that with the development of the airport, we look forward to increase in air traffic from here. as once this happened, more airlines would be flying from here.
