Thiruvananthapuram: PDP chairman Abdul Nasser Madani’s Kerala trip got cancelled in the last minute as a flight of IndiGo airlines that was supposed to carry him stood firm that it needed permission from the civil aviation department.
The IndiGo airlines flight took off from Bengaluru around 1pm without Madani.
The airlines objected to carrying the PDP chairman as he was accompanied by police officers, despite issuing boarding pass to him.
The Karnataka police is trying to arrange another flight for Madani today itself. They are also exploring the possibilities of letting him travel by the road.
Meanwhile, PDP workers laid siege to the office of IndiGo Airlines at Nedumbassery international airport.
