Security beefed up at airport

Visakhapatnam:  Following the terror attack at Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 28 in which 42 persons were killed, the international terminal building of Visakhapatnam Airport has been closed for visitors.

Security sources at the Airport said that in view of the terror attack, the Central Intelligence agencies have issued a red alert and have asked the security forces manning the airport not to issue visitor passes and keep visitors out of bounds of the main terminal building.

Additional security forces have been posted at the Airport and checks have been intensified.
