Airline food reviews: Guess what this Instagrammer has to say about Indian in-flight foods

New Delhi: Nikos Loukas, founder of inflightfeed.com, a website set up to review airline food, recently travelled on most of the domestic airlines that cater to India and he had much to say. Though disappointing, his review about country’s official airline, Air India, are not unsurprising. Not only did Loukas feel the service and hospitality were not up to the mark but also said his enthusiasm for Indian food was not satisfied by the meal provided by the airline. Loukas also complained the staff did not provide description about the food served to him, when he enquired. Posting on Instagram about an Air India meal he had while flying to Paris from New Delhi, he sadly wrote, “Vegetarian option had a nice kick to it! But wouldn’t be running back to fly this airline.”
Loukas, who also assists with training and product development projects specifically for airlines, thanked a fellow user for providing him the description of the food said, “Thanks for the description! When I asked them to explain they just said ‘vegetarian’ or ‘non veg’. No menus!”
From his reviews and posts, it seems Indigo has certainly impressed him and he is happy about their service and food. From taste to quality to quantity, he was satisfied, but he praised their services more than anything and wrote in his review, “For such a short flight it was pretty fantastic, the cabin crew were warm friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend flying with them, the airline is cool, fun and rather sexy.” Loukas was travelling from Mumbai to Bengaluru, and seems to have developed a soft spot for Indigo’s collectible boxes, on his website, the rating for Indigo is 8.4, and it says “Cute”.
Among other domestic airline, Loukas travelled on Spicejet, Go Air, Vistara and Jet Airways.
While going through his Instagram profile and website, there seem to be more business class and premium economy options but there is no real bias and is quite honest about his feedback. Loukas has reviewed food across all sections on board and even answered queries from other users.
The website, which was started in 2012, currently has information and reviews of more than 150 airlines worldwide.
