Coimbatore: Gold billets worth 25 lakh were seized from a Kerala-bound passenger who arrived at the city airport from Sharjah on Sunday, police said.
Police said immigration sleuths searched all the passengers of the Air Arabia flight on a tip-off.
Salman Paris, of Kozhikode district in Kerala, was found moving suspiciously following which he was searched by the officials who found eight billets, weighing about 930 grams, hidden in his rectum, police said.
