Srinagar: Airports Authority of India has planned to expand terminal building of Srinagar Airport upto 2.5 fold as additional 20,000 sqm will be added to existing area of 33,000 sqm.
A press handout issued by Srinagar Airport Authority of India reads that the area of the airport would go upto 53,000 sqm which would increase peak hour passenger capacity from 950 to 2300 handling capacity will be 5.2 mppa from 2.3 mppa.
“For this, today Airport Users Consultation Committee was conducted in which all the stakeholders participated and formally constituted the AUCC. Justice Muzafar Jan (Retd) was elected as Chairman of the committee and under his chairmanship,” it states.
