3 sneak in IGI with fake passport

Despite police and Central Industrial Security Force's claim that a multi-layer security ring has been thrown around the IGI airport, two men and a minor managed to sneak in using fake passports early on Saturday.
The three were caught when their passports raised the immigration personnel's suspicion, who called up the police. Police said that the three were planning to fly to Canada. They were subjected to an hour-long questioning but nothing suspicious was found.
An Afghan national had also been arrested on Friday for unauthorised entry into the airport.
Last year, security men had arrested 51 people who had gained unauthorised entry into the airport and this year the number has already crossed 60, till date. These incidents have raised questions over the security system at the airport when the country is facing terror threats after its surgical strike at the LOC this week.
According to a senior police officer, at 4.30am the trio arrived at the international terminal to catch a Turkish Airlines flight to Canada. "Naveen and Lovepreet were travelling along with a 17-year-old youth, all residents of Punjab. When they arrived at the immigration counter for clearance, their passports raised suspicion among the personnel," he said.
