Mumbai on High alert: Air India pilot reports suspicious balloon flying near Mumbai airport, incident reported to Air Traffic Control

Mumbai: Air India pilot on Wednesday afternoon reported a suspicious balloon flying near Mumbai Airport. According to news agency ANI, two of the pilots reported about the suspicious balloon flying some 25 kilometers away from Mumbai airport before landing the plane. As soon as the suspicious balloon was visible to the pilots of Air India flight 628 the pilots alerted and reported about it to Air Traffic Control department who had shared the information with local police officials and the Central agencies.
The suspicious balloon was seen some 25 kilometers away from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus before the Nagpur-Mumbai bound flight landed at the airport. The suspicious balloon has been seen a week after Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on terror launch pad located in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and killed more than 35-40 terrorists and their supporters. After surgical strikes Indian border and metros across the country were kept on high alert for next one month. As Mumbai and Delhi are one of the places where terrorists had targeted earlier are also kept on high alert for next one month and vigilance has been increased at the airspace and coastal areas of Mumbai.
Also, there are reports that Pakistan who is left with red-faced after Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads may strike back to Mumbai through an air attack before Diwali.
