Heavy traffic gives flyers tense moments

Twelve passengers booked on an Etihad Airways flight to Abu Dhabi were left arguing with the airline staff on Friday evening, after they were told they were being offloaded. All the 12 passengers said they had reached the airport on time, with their boarding pass printed out after a web check-in.
For some of them, especially those who travelled from south Mumbai to the airport, it was a double whammy. They started their journey on a stressful note as they spent a long time stuck in traffic jam, enroute to the Mumbai international terminal 2. With security measures put in place for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Saturday visit to Mumbai, the roads that lead to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link were choked.
