Notice to Mumbai airport for MRP overcharge

Mumbai: The legal metrology department has issued notices to Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) and Indian Hotel & Restaurant Association (AHAR) over their members charging customers more than the printed price for packaged products.
Special IG Amitabh Gupta, controller of legal metrology, said, "We noticed that some vendors at the Mumbai airport are levying more than MRP or selling with dual MRP on the same packaged commodity. We have registered cases against Saptagiri Restaurant, Flemingo Airport Retail, Safe Bag Wrap and Devyani Airport Services." MIAL said it is yet to receive the notice.
