Mumbai: A Bollywood actor's younger brother, who is an RJ and all set to make his debut in a high-ticket film this week, manhandled a CISF official at the international airport for denying him entry to the terminal to collect his baggage he had left behind the previous day. He was arrested by Sahar police for using criminal force or assault deterring public servant perform duty. The actor was in police custody for a day before he was granted bail.
The incident occurred in October-end and Sahar police will submit a 50-odd page chargesheet in the case this week. Sahar police senior inspector BT Mukhedkar confirmed the incident.
"When the CISF official stopped him, he got enraged and shouted that he was an actor. He manhandled the official when he was asked to obtain an authorization letter from the local police," said an officer. At the police station, he pleaded with the police not to make the matter public or alert his brother. The actor's brother did not reply to TOI's text messages on Tuesday.
