Man with air gun held, let off

Hyderabad: The Kukatpally police picked up a person moving around with an air gun, after locals complained to the police about him, on Saturday.

Abdul Khadeer, a flexi-ad painter, purchased the air gun for ₹4,600 two days ago and was walking on the road with it, after which he was questioned. Khadeer’s family said that he was mentally disturbed and purchased the air gun without informing anyone.

He was let off after questioning, a police official said.
Three persons were caught at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) by officials of the south zone Task Force and Air Intelligence Unit, when they were trying to smuggle 1.2 kilograms of gold.

Mohammed Amir Ahmed, Mohammed Fasiudin, and Fahad Yaqe Khan, who landed at the RGIA in an Air India flight on Saturday, were found possessing foreign gold biscuits.
