Airline SpiceJet said it has opened its first physical store under its new ‘SpiceStyle’ retail brand at Galleria Mall in Gurgaon, near Delhi.
The launch of its first physical store marks SpiceStyle’s entry into the offline segment besides its ecommerce portal and a brand store launched in association with Amazon.
It also announced freebies, including free tickets to Goa and Bangkok for those who buy from its new venture.
“The store will function as a premium channel to offer the latest in fashion and lifestyle across 12 different brands including a signature Rohit Bal collection,” the company said.
SpiceStyle has so far largely been an online effort and sells fashion items such as bags, sunglasses, jewelry, wrist watches, backpacks and silicone luggage tags.
The airline aims to boost its ancillary revenue with the venture. Ancillary revenue for the company has already grown from 6% to around 17% in the last two years.
The airline will offer some discounts and sales under the new venture.
