Final feasibility report of Purandar airport in September

Pune: Even though the state government has provided a sum of Rs 100 crore for the new Pune airport in Purandar and more is needed, Maharashtra Airport Development Company Limited (MADC) officials have decided not to push the Indian Air Force (IAF) for the clearance for the project site.
Senior MADC officials told TOI on Sunday that the Airports Authority of India (AAI) had given all documents about technical details of the project to the IAF whose officials are expected to respond.
"There have been some reports which say the IAF has raised objections about the new airport site. This is untrue as they have not reverted back to us until now. We are not pushing them now. Even though we hope the IAF provides us with the noobjection, the earlier method of following up and reminding them repeatedly has stopped. Matters may get confusing if we keep pushing them," a senior official requesting anonymity said, adding: "There is a meeting scheduled after August 25 but we don't know how it will play out," the official pointed out.
