Flight operations to resume from Mysuru from September 20

Mysuru: Flight operations from Mysuru are set to resume come September 20, a day before the Dasara celebrations kick off in the city.

The daily flight operations between Mysuru and Chennai will signal the city’s return to the air map of the country under the Centre’s regional air connectivity scheme UDAN (Ude Deshka Aam Nagarik).

Though flight operations were earlier set to resume on September 15, Mysuru airport director Manoj Kumar Singh said the date for the flight operations of Trujet, a carrier with its headquarters in Hyderabad, had to be rescheduled to September 20.

Speaking to The Hindu after a meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee chaired by Mysuru MP Pratap Simha on Monday, Mr. Singh said the aircraft flying to Chennai from Mysuru will also proceed to Hyderabad after a 25-minute halt in Chennai.
