Jammu: A cycling expedition was flagged off by the Army today from Udhampur-based northern command headquarters to commemorate the 32nd raising day of the Indian Army Aviation Corps.
The expedition aims at spreading the message of flight safety and educate people en route about their responsibilities in ensuring a safe flying environment, an official spokesman said in a statement here.
A six-member team will traverse a distance of 544 km during the expedition, covering Yol in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh via Palampur and culminate at Nagrota here on October 13.
