Kochi: Due to heavy fog and poor visibility, 10 flights scheduled to arrive at Cochin International Airport Ltd on Thursday morning were diverted to nearby airports.
Air India flight from Jeddah and Indigo flight coming from Doha scheduled 7.15am and 7.24am respectively, were both diverted to Thiruvananthapuram. Air India flight from Thiruvananthapuram was also diverted back to Thiruvananthapuram. Oman Air from Muscat was diverted to Kozhikode.
Indigo flight from Sharjah and Air Asia flight coming from Kuala Lumpur were diverted to Chennai. Indigo flight from Hyderabad and Jet Airways from Chennai was diverted to Coimbatore. Air Asia coming from Bengaluru, which was scheduled to arrive around 8am was diverted back to Bengaluru. Go Air from Mumbai was also diverted to Bengaluru.
