Training aircraft force-lands in Dhule field

A Piper Seneca (VT - BCA) aircraft belonging to the Bombay Flying Club (BFC) force-landed at Sakhri, in Dhule, in northern Maharashtra, at 7.30pm on Friday. There were five student pilots on the aircraft, which was commanded by chief flying instructor Captain JP Sharma. The BFC operates from Dhule's Gondur Airport which has been taken on lease from the state government.

The aircraft took off for Surat from Dhule and was flown by a student named Asna. On the return journey, another student, Pritam Singh, was in charge of the aircraft, with Captain Sharma, an ex-Indian Air Force trainer, by his side.
