Apps here; Chopper rides soon

With the chopper ride between Electronics City and Kempegowda International Airport expected to start in a few days, booking tickets for a ride has just got easier.
The HeliTaxii App is now available for customers to pre-book their seats.

The App is available on Google Play Store and App Store.

Thumby Aviation Private Ltd, which will operate the shuttle services said that the commute time between the Electronics City and Kempegowda International Airport, would be reduced to a mere 15 minutes. By road, it takes about three-plus hours to travel to the airport in Devanahalli.

Thumby Aviation will press two Bell helicopters into service. Each will have a seating capacity of 6 to 13 passengers. While one will be used for the shuttle services, the other will be kept on standby.

Three helipads will be operational once the services start.

The helipads are at the airport, Electronics City and HAL airport.

Govind Nair, director-Business Development, Thumby Aviation Private Ltd said that all necessary arrangements for starting the services are in place and that it could start any time in the next few days.
