Bomb Threat At Airport, Hinduja Hospital Keeps Cops On Their Toes

Mumbai: Wednesday turned out to be quite an experience for the Mumbai Police, when they received an online security threat early in the morning. Around 8.30 am, a mail popped up on the Web Cell's email account, alerting them of bombs that had been planted at the Mumbai airport and Hinduja Hospital. The sender had also mentioned that he got to know about it from a conversation he overheard. In addition to this, he had also shared his name and contact details through the mail.

According to sources, without losing any time, the police sent the email to their seniors, including the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, Central Industrial Security Force and Hinduja Hospital security, and communicated the matter with them. They not only beefed up security at both the locations, but also thoroughly scanned the premises. However, nothing suspicious was found in the process.

A police source said that they tried calling the person, who sent the email, several times, but his phone was switched off. On checking the call data records of the number, they found that the sender was not from Mumbai.
