Mumbai: GVK Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (MIAL), the company that manages the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), was bestowed with the coveted Award for Excellence in 'Air Traffic Management productivity in Indian Aviation' at the recently-held CAPA India Airport & Airspace Summit 2018 in Mumbai.
The award, presented to MIAL CEO Rajeev Jain by Consul General & Trade Commissioner Ralph Hays, recognises the airport's committed focus on improving airside efficiency.
Mumbai Airport has managed to increase the runway capacity considerably over the past few years.
The efficiency of air traffic management places Mumbai airport amongst the best in class globally for a single runway operation.
