Chennai: A person who smoked inside the toilet of an aircraft from Doha to Chennai was arrested by Airport police here.
The person was identified as V. Ramesh, 37, of Tiruvannamalai district. He had boarded a Jet Airways flight to Chennai. He had allegedly consumed liquor. He frequently went to the toilet and smoked cigarattes, police said.
Ramesh abused the airline staff when they questioned him. Immediately after the flight landed at Chennai airport, he was handed over to police, who arrested him. He was later let off after paying a fine.
