Soon, check-in kiosks in airport buses

Bengaluru:: Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), which manages Kempegowda International Airport, on Wednesday said it was working with Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) to introduce check-in kiosks in Vayu Vajra buses.
Addressing members of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) here, BIAL managing director Hari Marar said: “Commuters will soon be able to print their boarding passes and get luggage tags in the bus itself.” Currently, BMTC operates around 100 Vayu Vajra Volvo buses from different parts of the city to KIA and some buses display flight timings and schedules.
Marar said second terminal (T2) will be operational from June 2021 and the building design will incorporate themes such as technology, environmental sustainability and the culture of the state.
