Jet Airways, AirAsia and GoAir offer big discounts on select flights

New Delhi: Flyers have reason to be on cloud nine. With airlines offering big discounts, they are probably flying to their favourite destinations paying lesser than even Rajdhani fares. In an attempt to reclaim marketshare, Jet Airways has announced discounts on flight tickets. The Naresh Goyal-led airline has slashed air ticket prices by up to 30 per cent on base fare of economy tickets on international routes. Rivals like AirAsia and GoAir responded with counter offers, triggering a price war for online ticket purchases.

"This summer, fly AirAsia. Fly to Nagpur, Chennai, Ranchi, Indore, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar and more", said the airline on its website. This new promotional offer requires flyers to make advance bookings, the airline further said.

Jet Airways is offering up to 30 per cent discount on base fare of economy flight tickets on select international routes under its 'Ramadan Special' scheme, mentioned the airline on its official website — jetairways.com. In order to use this 'Ramadan Special' sale offer, the tickets must be booked till April 19, 2018, according to the carrier.

The travel period of Jet Airways' special sale offer starts on May 15, 2018 and ends on June 15, 2018. The airline discounted tickets are valid on one-way and return journeys, said the airline.
