As part of the airport beautification project, Ahmedabad Airport Authority (AAA) has planned to significantly increasing the green cover inside and around both the airports. This will also include getting imported plants to give a rich feel to the airport.

Major focus of the project is on improving cleanliness and hygiene on campus. AAA will spend approximately Rs3 crore on state-of-the-art ‘mechanised environmental support service system’ which will help keep the airport clean.
Talking to Mirror, Parimal Nathwani, group president (Corporate Affairs) at Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) which is part of the project, said, “We have been maintaining Ahmedabad airport premises for a few years. We wish to beautify the airport area by increasing the green cover. We are also planning to import plants from abroad.”
