CISF uses metal detector to frisk pregnant flyer

Guwahati: The CISF has launched a probe into reports of a pregnant woman being frisked on Sunday by using a metal detector at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport here.
The incident took place when the woman and her husband reached the airport to board a plane to Delhi. Sources at the airport said that a woman CISF officer frisked her allegedly by using a metal detector.
A metal detector is not supposed to be used on any expecting mother as it can harm the fetus. Director of LGBI Airport BK Tailong said the incident took place during a routine security check at the airport where several smuggling attempts were foiled recently.
