Bhubaneswar: Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik on Tuesday wrote to Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu urging him to name the Jharsuguda Airport after legendary freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai.
“Veer Surendra Sai was a heroic son of western Oidhsa. It will be proper to name the Jharsuguda Airpor should after his name,” mentioned Patnaik in his letter.
Notably, the Jharsuguda Airport would be made operational from July 5, as per the Government plan. The airport has been added under the UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Admi) scheme.
