Dubai flier caught with 64,500 Euros

Mohali:  The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Monday arrested a passenger after 64,500 Euros (Rs 50.76 lakh) was recovered from him at the Chandigarh international airport.
Navjeet Singh, 37, a resident of Nawanshahr was to board a Dubai flight when he was caught. On examination of his checked-in baggage, DRI seized the foreign currency concealed in a newspaper kept in lower bottom of the baggage.
Sources said the passenger had not declared the possession of foreign currency prior to boarding the flight.
