Pune: Passengers flying to Dubai from Pune on an Air India flight suffered a delay of nearly 6 hours on Thursday.
The flight was supposed to take off at 3.40pm and finally departed around 9.35pm. Sources attributed the delay to the late arrival of the flight from Dubai.
“The flight arrives from Dubai to Pune and waits at the airport for some time before flying back to the city in the United Arab Emirates with passengers. On Thursday, the flight from Dubai was delayed. We don’t know what led to the delay,” an official told TOI.
A passenger, who did not wish to be named, said, “This was the first time I am going to Dubai with my wife to visit our son. I came to the airport around 11:20am, checked in and completed all formalities by 1pm. We were stuck at the airport for at least 10 hours. The airport in Pune is not that big so that we could pass our time. It was frustrating.”
