Air India cabin crew face the music over videos

Mumbai: Inside the aircraft cabin, dressed in their Air India flight attendant’s uniform, a bunch of cabin crew members, most of them in their 20s, shot song and dance sequences, and uploaded these short videos onto their social media accounts.
On Tuesday, Air India warned the flight attendants to take down their videos without delay, failing which disciplinary action would be taken.
“It has been reported that several videos are being posted by cabin crew in uniform on You Tube, Music.Ly, Facebook etc which are not only in bad taste, but also do not reflect well on the company,’’ said the note issued by the AI management. “Crew are instructed to refrain from posting any such distasteful videos on any social networking site,” it said, referring to the disciplinary action that would be taken.
An AI spokesperson said, “AI adheres to a strict code of conduct. Any aberration or objectionable conduct, especially while on duty is viewed seriously.”
