Bad roads to airport irks passengers

Nashik: The poor condition of roads leading to Nashik airport at Ozar is making life difficult for air travellers.
The 5-km long road from Dahava Mail near Mumbai-Agra highway leading to the airport near Janori village is narrow and in bad shape. And with constant rainfall lashing the city for the last few days, potholes have surfaced on the roads on that stretch.

According to some travel agents, it takes over 15 minutes to cross the stretch when it should take not more than five minutes. A team of industrialists, who frequently travel to the airport, had met public welfare department (PWD) authorities demanding that the entire stretch should be repaired for the benefit of air travellers.

They also suggested that the department to put up signboards on the airport road for first time travellers to be aware of the route. The PWD officials have assured to take immediate measures.
