Mangaluru: Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided to fund the complete drainage scheme amounting Rs 6.75 crore in Malavoor village on the foothills of Mangaluru International Airport.
This project will benefit all the villagers from any future flood- type situation.
Presently there is no storm water drainage system in the Malavoor village. Only few natural nallahs which are used presently too are blocked due to construction works. Once the new drainage system comes in place, it will protect the life and properties of the villagers against any natural calamities.
