Kolkata: A passenger fell inside a Guwahati-Kolkata flight and also lost his consciousness. He was first rushed to the medical unit soon after the flight landed at Kolkata airport and later taken to a hospital.
Primary investigations revealed that 25-year-old Asit Dey had taken some drugs before boarding the flight at Guwahati. When his luggage was searched, some white powder and an aluminium foil were also allegedly found. “Documents of a deaddiction centre was found in the luggage. It seems that
he had taken the drugs before entering airport and the dosage might have been more than what he can endure. During medical examination at the airport he was in a semi-conscious state and also went into trance often,” said an official of Airports Authority of India. Dey was coming to Kolkata on a Guwahati-Kolkata Air India flight in the evening.
