Indore: Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport has won the best airport of Asia-Pacific Region award of Airport Council International (ACI). Airport director airport director Aryama Sanyal received the award during inauguration of ACI Customer Excellence Global Summit held in Halifex Canada on September 12. The award is a recognition of quality passenger services in 2017 through passengers’ feedback. Sanyal received the award at a glittering ceremony in presence of Airport Authority of India (AAI) director (operations) IN Murthy. The city airport was adjudged the best airport under 2 million passengers’ traffic in Asia Pacific Region for 2017.
The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme is the only globally-established benchmark to measure passengers’ satisfaction while travelling through an airport. It measures passengers’ satisfaction on 34 key performance indicators. ACI is headquartered in Montreal and keeps a watch on quality of services provided to passengers at airports across the world. An overwhelmed director Aryama Sanyal said, “Indore and Ahmedabad from India were among 15 airports across the world vying for the award.”
