Gangtok: In the wake of Prime Minister’s visit for Inauguration of Greenfield Pakyong Airport, families affected due to the project have requested him for a later date due to their case pending in the Court here.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Pakyong on September 23 for the inauguration.
"We have written to him and met Governor informing about matter being sub-judice," said OP Bhandari pleading in favour of the Project Affected Families. As per the Report of the Central Building Research Institute, the cracks in the land adjacent to Airport are due to construction of the Airport.Hence the concerned families demanding all the relief as per the law of the land,had filed a Writ Petition no 54 in2016 of Benu Dhakal & others V/S Union of India & others.
