Direct flights to 2 new cities soon

Patna: Private carrier GoAir will provide direct flight connectivity from Patna to Chandigarh and Bhubaneswar this winter season.
According to winter schedule for flight operations at Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport released on Thursday, the total number of flights operating to and from the city airport will increase from 45 at present to 52 from each side from November 1. Eight flights will, however, be withdrawn from December 1. The schedule, released after the approval of directorate general of civil aviation, will remain effective till March 30.

Santosh Kumar, assistant general manager (air traffic management) at Patna airport said Chandigarh and Bhubaneshwar are the cities getting connectivity with Patna airport this year.

As per the winter schedule, GoAir’s Chandigarh-Patna-Bhubaneswar flight will reach Patna airport at 6.25pm and leave for Bhubaneswar at 6.55pm. The date for commencement of GoAir’s flights has, however, not been announced yet.
