Colombo: A 22 year old Indian national in possession of 500g of “ICE” (a form of the potent stimulant drug methamphetamine) worth Rs. 5.8 million has been taken into custody by the officials of the Police Narcotics Bureau attached to the Bandaranaike International Airport.
The suspect had arrived in the country from Chennai, India. The narcotics were found concealed in his luggage.
Following the standing order issued by the Negombo Magistrate Court today (October 01) the suspect is due to be produced before the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
