Jaipur: People who are planning to travel between November 3 and November 11 to Jaipur or out of the city will shell out five times the amount of usual flight ticket price. The flight ticket rates, connecting Jaipur to other cities, have increased tremendously during the festive season.
A large number of people travel to their home cities from workplace during the Diwali season. Every time, the airlines increase the flight rates. People pay extra to travel during Diwali. This benefits the airlines companies greatly.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) makes efforts to control the hike of flight rates during the festive season every year, but in vain. The hiked flight rates will be applied from November 3 to November 11, this time.
The flight ticket rates from Mumbai to Jaipur have reached up to Rs 20,000 for the festive season. In normal days, the tickets prices are between Rs 2000 to Rs 3000 on this route.
