Coimbatore: The three new base flights for the city announced by Jet Airways will start operation from Wednesday. They will offer early morning flights to New Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai, where travellers will land well ahead of business hours. The late-night return flights to the city would mean they could use the service to wrap up their business and return to the city by the end of the day, saving time and accommodation expenses.
The new services will include a late night flight, which will arrive from New Delhi at 12.50am and again depart for the capital at 5.50am. This will ensure that fliers will reach the capital by 8.50am and reach the business centres by 9.30am. The late night flight, which is likely to leave New Delhi around 9.55pm, will ensure that business travellers will get time till at least 7pm to wrap up their schedule.
The Bengaluru service will have a flight landing from the garden city at 9.50pm and again departing to the IT hub at 5.30am. The Chennai service will have a flight landing from the city at 12.15am and departing at 6.55am. Both the services will see fliers landing in Chennai and Bangalore by 6.30am and 8am respectively, and passengers entering those cities by 8.30am.
