Kolkata: Indian flag carrier finally has some good news for fliers from the east. From October 15, the airline will re-start direct flights to Bangkok after nearly a decade. The three days-a-week flight will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
“AI will service the new sector with the plush new Airbus A320 Neo aircraft. It will take off from the Thai capital at 5.15am local time and reach Kolkata at 7am. The departing flight will take off from Kolkata at 3.50pm to reach Bangkok at 8.05pm local time,” an AI spokesperson said.
AI will also introduce another flight on the domestic sector from that day. It will fly to Jaipur from Kolkata on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, taking off from here at 8.40am to reach Jaipur at 11.10am. The return flight will take off from the Pink City at 11.10am and arrive in Kolkata at12.20pm.
