Varanasi: A youth from Ballia district was arrested by the CISF personnel at LBS International Airport here on Monday when a live cartridge of 7.62 mm was found in his luggage.
"CISF handed over Shubham to Phoolpur police and an FIR has been lodged against him under section 7.25 Arms Act," said SSP Anand Kulkarni.
On Monday morning Shubham of Pandeypur village in Ballia district had reached LBS International Airport to board a Delhi bound flight of Indigo Airlines. When his luggage was passing through the X-ray machine at the main entry point of the airport the CISF personnel noticed some doubtful object inside his bag.
