IndiGo flight returns safely to Kochi after developing snag, gets stuck on runway

New Delhi: Operations at Kochi airport were affected for some time on Monday afternoon when an IndiGo aircraft developed a snag soon after take off. After safely returning to Kochi, the Airbus A320 got stuck on the runway due to which some other flights were affected.
An IndiGo spokesperson said flight 6E-6468 on Cochin-Hyderabad route “returned to Cochin as part of a precautionary measure. After take-off, the pilot observed a hydraulic warning which warranted the return of the aircraft. To avoid inconvenience to passengers, we will operate an alternate flight to Hyderabad.”
Sources say the Airbus A320 had a hydraulic issue on its main landing gear due to which it got stuck on the runway after safely returning to Kochi.
