Police scanning airport CCTV footage to check if missing student Ehtisham has landed in Kashmir

The Srinagar District Police has started scanning CCTV footage of the airport to see if the missing Kashmiri student had arrived in the Valley on 28 October or not.

The Quint reported that following permission from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), director airport (Srinagar) of Airport Authority of India (AAI) has provided CCTV footage for investigation to the Khanyar Police Station in Srinagar.

Ehtisham Bilal, who went missing after being beaten up in Sharda University in Noida-NCR on 4 October, was seen with militant outfit, ISIS’s flag and an AK-47 in social media posts on Friday. Ehtisham is missing since 28 October.

Before he had gone missing, one of his family members said that he had called his cousin brother, also a student at the Sharda University that he was boarding a metro and that he will reach the hostel by 8:30 pm.

The parents of the Sharda University student have repeatedly said that the photographs and an audio clip, purportedly released by the extremist group Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir (ISIJ), were not of their son Ehtisham Bilal (20).
“He didn’t reach the hostel. We have no idea who kidnapped him. We have no idea if any agency has picked him up. We want to know where our son is,” said father of missing student.
