‘Submit report in Jagan attack case by Tuesday’

Hyderabad: Making it clear that the court would not monitor the ongoing SIT probe into the incident of attack on YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport on Oct 25, a division bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday granted time to the Andhra Pradesh government till Tuesday for filing status report of the case in a sealed cover before the court. The bench also directed for placing the details of SIT officials who were probing the case.

Besides, the bench directed the officials of CISF and Airport authority of India to give clarification on the issues falling under their jurisdiction. Senior counsel CV Mohan Reddy, appearing for Jagan, told the court that the investigation by AP police was going in a predetermined direction. He further said that the petitioner has not given his statement since he has no confidence in AP police, and hence seeking probe by an independent agency.

AP Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas said that the petitioner had so far not handed over the shirt which has blood stains to the police and was not cooperating with the ongoing probe.  After hearing both sides, the bench directed the AG to place status report of the case before it by Tuesday, and posted the case to Nov 13.
